Fortwenger, l’amour du produit et le respect de la tradition depuis plus de 250 ans 

C'est en 1768 que le jeune maître boulanger Charles Fortwenger ouvre son atelier à Gertwiller en Alsace pour y fabriquer ses savoureux pains d'épices. 

Deux siècles plus tard, les fameux pains d'épices Fortwenger sont encore fabriqués dans le respect de la tradition comme le souhaitait leur fondateur : ingrédients de qualité, un zeste de gourmandise...et une bonne dose de savoir-faire ! De la préparation de la pâte-mère jusqu’à la cuisson ou encore la décoration à la main à l’aide de sucre coloré́, c’est autant d'étapes qui exigent savoir-faire et connaissance du métier !

Chez Fortwenger, l'amour du bon pain d'épices et le plaisir de le partager est une histoire de famille qui se transmet de génération en génération. A la direction de la maison, Steve Risch succède à son père en 2017 et s’emploie à perpétuer les valeurs fondatrices tout en adaptant la société au temps actuels. 

Il ouvre le Palais du Pain d'Épices accueillant chaque année plusieurs milliers de visiteurs et faisant de Gertwiller la capitale du pain d’épices en Alsace et investit  dans un nouvel atelier à Ensisheim dédié à la fabrication de nouveaux pavés tranchés et de biscuits bio.

Aujourd’hui, de nombreux visiteurs viennent découvrir les ateliers de fabrication à Gertwiller ...  tant pour le plaisir des yeux que celui du palais !
